Who We Are
Awel Aman Tawe is a charity based in the upper Amman Valley, founded in 1998 to address the climate emergency and support community resilience. We’ve developed two of the largest renewable energy co-ops in Wales – Awel Co-op (wind) and Egni Co-op (solar) – and run a wide range of community projects including energy efficiency, sustainable transport, arts, education and wellbeing.
Hwb y Gors is our newly opened low-carbon arts, education and enterprise hub in Cwmgors. It’s a space for community connection, creativity and climate action.
Position Summary
We are looking for a warm, organised and community-minded individual to coordinate our Warm Hub and Cooking Workshops Project at Hwb y Gors. This role is central to engaging volunteers and participants in a winter programme of weekly warm hub sessions, cooking workshops and a celebratory community event.
You’ll recruit, support and mentor volunteers, ensuring they feel valued and confident in their roles. You’ll also work closely with the cook trainer, community partners and the wider Hwb team to create a welcoming, inclusive space that supports wellbeing, skill-sharing and community resilience.
