Welcome to Wild About Film! our film club that sparks conversation and inspires action through the power of cinema.

Power Station

Two artist activists install solar panels on every house in their street. Community, vision and a dash of British eccentricity and the result is everyday magic. Funny, heartwarming, a vibrant testament to the power of art in making change.

“The lo-fi, handheld cinematography, through which Powell and Edelstyn often directly address the viewer, lends a moving intimacy to their momentous endeavours. From sleeping on the roof for a fundraising challenge to planting a thousand sunflowers, their approach prioritises collective action as much as visual impact… Powell and Edelstyn do not shy away from showing some of the lower points of their campaign… Still, the film is a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when we simply talk to our neighbours, and it is heartwarming to see different people, from diverse backgrounds but bound by shared economic struggles, come together to make green energy a reality.” Phuong Le, Guardian
