Hall
The original school hall with standing capacity of 100 and seating 50, is fitted with a beautiful sprung wooden floor. Ideal for classes and performances, the space is light-filled but can also be blacked-out for screenings. A wonderful mezzanine has been created (capacity 22) allowing for break out areas at rehearsal or an upper-level audience experience. A truly versatile space full of character!
Studio One
Studio 1: A flexible workspace (capacity 20) featuring preserved original fireplace of beautiful green tiles, a Hwb y Gors favourite! Stiwdio 1 is ideal for team meetings, project development and exhibitions. Equally for small groups, this is the ideal creative classroom, right next door to the café!
Studio Two
Studio 2: With access to adjoining studio 3, this space has a fitted sink with storage which makes it the ideal ‘wet materials’ arts space. Consider this a creative playground! With a seated capacity of 26, Studio 2 can be used for classes and workshops – paint, print, natural dyes. It may be the ideal studio for an artist or collective to spread out, to workshop ideas that require a bit of space (and mess)!
Studio Three
With access to adjoining studio 2, this room gets lots of light! 37sqm, like its sister studio, stiwdio 3 has capacity for 26. We recommend this space for a meeting room or classroom size of 12 to 15, ideal for all crafting – textiles weaving, sewing, upcycling. This is a versatile space which could also be used as a drawing studio, creative classroom or meeting room.
Studio Four
Studio Four is designed to support activities from schools’ classroom workshops to professional development training. Studio four at Hwb y Gors is a versatile classroom. whether you’re hosting a workshop, seminar, training session, or meeting.
Multi-Arts Studio
A ceramics studio complete with kiln! You may wish to hire use of the Hwb kiln at a daily rate or perhaps your project or business requires space to develop ceramics longer term. We’re here to help and look forward to seeing this dedicated studio buzzing with potters!
Project Suite
A lovely upstairs suite of two rooms, total capacity 17. Fitted with hand basin and the best views in the house – across the mountains, this space is ideal for artists in residence, informal meetings, therapies or a guaranteed quiet spot. Note, access to the suite is via a staircase.
