We’re thrilled to announce that Hwb y Gors is now open, and we’re kicking things off with a vibrant mix of community-led projects and activities.

We’ve launched the First Step Mental Health Support programme in partnership with Shadows Depression Support Group, and we’re celebrating local heritage through our Community Mosaic Project, where artist Dani Lee is working with the community to create a stunning mosaic mural for the Hwb gardens.
Meanwhile, Hannah, our Arts and Education Officer, is working on a new Heritage Crafts Footpath, getting us up and running as an Agored Cymru centre and liaising with artists and craftspeople to develop a programme. And Gerald and Teilo are our Hwb Officers who will welcome you into the centre and ensure that the place is running smoothly.
We are also excited to welcome Mess up the Mess as our first tenants who will be running a multi-media arts programme – watch out for more information about their projects – and NHS are also moving in to run their Space to Grow programme.
Stitch Club has also moved to the Hwb, and we’re excited to welcome new groups like the monthly Klezmer Klub and Straw Craft Club — bringing music, creativity, and connection right into the heart of the community.

We’re also pleased to share that Awel Aman Tawe has moved into Hwb y Gors. You’ll find our Energy Team and Community Transport team based here from now on.
Our popular monthly Repair Café has now relocated to the Hwb, and our weekly garden group has relaunched. The garden group are helping to plan our community garden and run fun events like our crop swap.
We have plenty of volunteering opportunities. If you’d like to get involved, please get in touch!
If you’re interested in renting a space or running a project at the Hwb, we’d love to hear from you.
A huge thank you to all our funders, supporters, and everyone in the community who has stood by us through the five-year journey of renovating this beautiful building. We can’t wait to welcome you in.
